So I tried watching the new Showtime “let’s make history more interesting by making it have British accents and lots of naked people having sex all over the place” attempt called “The Borgias”.
I saw half an hour of it maybe, and what’s his name (Jeremy Irons? Yes, him) spent it getting elected pope by bribing people, while his two sons slept with various hookers all over the place. I usually love history/period dramas, and I do not know a lot about the Borgias except that they were corrupt and messed up as hell, and that made me want to watch the show, but I didn’t get intrigued or pulled in at all. I got bored and turned it off.
If anyone else is watching it, and it gets better, do let me know, because I really really wanted this show to be something I could get into. Ah well, “Game of Thrones” starts April 17th. I’ll wait.
