PSA for those who have not read the books
If you’re still on the Game of Thrones tag, you should really consider getting off it now. You know that shit always goes down in the last episodes of the season, and I see more and more book readers dropping pretty big hints without tagging their posts.
Trust me when I say that there are things that are 100x better when watched unspoiled. This is especially true for this season and the next because the book on which they’re based is pretty eventful.
So for your own enjoyment (unless you love reading spoilers, in which case ignore this post), maybe hold off browsing this tag until the season’s done?
ALSO. If you have Tumblr savior, you can blacklist king-lobster, s/he’s the person always posting spoilery pictures of the episodes a day before they’ve aired.
Sincerely,
A book reader who’d hate for anyone to be spoiled accidentally about things to come.
I bolded a couple points. I agree completely. Now is the time to check out of the Game of Thrones tag altogether if you want to stay unspoiled for the rest of the season.

Jaime’s head jerked round at the sound of a distant roar, faint but ferocious. It echoed off the walls of Harrenhal, and the laughter swelled up like the sea. All of a sudden, he knew what was happening. Have we come too late? His stomach did a lurch, and he slammed his spurs into his horse, galloping across the outer ward, beneath an arched stone bridge, around the Wailing Tower, and through the Flowstone Yard.

There is only one god and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: “Not today.”

“Woman?” She chuckled. “Is that meant to insult me? I would return the slap, if I took you for a man.”

Thwarting you has never been my primary ambition, I promise you…although who doesn’t like to see their friends fail now and then?
You’re so right. For instance, when I thwarted your plan to give Sansa Stark to the Tyrells. If I’m going to be honest, I did feel an unmistakable sense of enjoyment. But your confidant, the one who fed you information about my plans, the one you swore to protect…you didn’t bring her any enjoyment. And she didn’t bring me any enjoyment. She was a bad investment on my part. Luckily, I have a friend who wants to try something new…something daring…and he was so grateful to me for providing this “fresh experience”
I did what I did for the good of the realm—
The “realm”? Do you know what the “realm” is? It’s the thousand blades of Aegon’s enemies: a story we agreed to tell each other over and over till we forget that it’s a lie.
What do we have left once we’ve abandoned the lie? Chaos, a gaping pit waiting to swallow us all?

But when I was doing the scene, [director] Alex Graves said “When you say that last line, ‘I can be your family,’ say it like ‘I love you.’” And that’s the take that they used. (x)

Today, a couple of my friends were talking about having a Game of Thrones season finale party.
I just looked at them, sighed, and told them that at the end of this season, they would need hugs, hot coco, and therapy.
A celebratory party? Not so much.

My children… you’ve disgraced the Lannister name for far too long.
